After the Academy has applied its over-subscription criteria and decided on the 390 pupils to be offered places, consideration will be given to
which site the child should go. The Academy Principal will place pupils in accordance with parental preference where possible. The West site
can accommodate 156 pupils in year 7 while the East site can accommodate 234.
In the event that one site receives more applications than the site can accommodate, places will be allocated in accordance with the
oversubscription criteria set out by the Academy in its admission arrangements.
Should parents/carers have concerns about the decision taken by the Academy relating to allocation of site, they should communicate them
directly to the Academy Principal, whose decision will be final.
The offer of a place to a child to the Academy site, which was not their parents’ choice of site does not constitute refusal of admission to the
Academy. Therefore, parents do not have the right of appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel.
I / We declare that the above details are correct and understand that failure to disclose, or the giving of false information, may result in my
child’s application being given a lower priority for admission.
The Isle of Sheppey Academy reserves the right to request evidence of a pupil’s residential address after an offer is made.If a fraudulent address is given the child’s priority for admission will be adjusted to reflect his or her true priority for admission.
This may mean the offer is withdrawn.
I / We agree to The Isle of Sheppey Academy processing personal data contained in this Application Form and other relevant data which the Academy may obtain from me/us or other people as part of the Admissions Procedure. I/ We agree to the processing of such data for any purposes described above. (This is in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.)
