Curriculum
The Academy offers both academic and vocational education. These co-exist in order that students can change their pathway and still succeed or may choose to follow elements of both. By providing these routes tailored to individual students' abilities, we believe that students will be motivated to remain in education and training post 16.
Students who require an enrichment programme in English or Mathematics benefit from this, alongside students who want to take their GCSEs early.
The consistent monitoring of students supported by a powerful mentoring system means that throughout their careers at the Academy a student is in a position to achieve her/his potential.
Every effort is made to ensure a smooth transition into the Academy, building on the skills, abilities and experiences that students bring with them and continuing examination programmes of study already started.
