UNIFORM - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Below are some frequently asked questions about the uniform. If you have any further questions then please contact us at uniforms@theisleofsheppeyacademy.org.uk

Q. How can I get extra uniform items?
A. If you wish to purchase any spare items of branded uniform, this is possible directly through the Academy.

Q. What are the washing instructions for the uniform?
A. All provided uniform items are machine washable. Specific laundering instructions are on the inside labels of the items.

Q. My child is in the sixth form, are they required to get the uniform?
A. Sixth form students are not required to wear a uniform but are required to wear smart business attire.

Q. Can my child wear any of their old school uniform?
A. Students must wear the branded items provided by the Academy. However, if their previous uniform had plain black trousers and a white shirt these may be worn, as long as they do not have the previous school's logo.

Q. What will happen if my child doesn't wear the correct uniform?
A. Most uniform infringements will be dealt with by the teacher who recognises the violation. Students will comply with requests to correct their uniform. Where students do not have correct uniform with them a member of the Senior Leadership Team will send students home to change into appropriate dress.

Q. Must the blazer be worn at all times?
A. Blazers are to be worn at all times. Removal during lessons will be at the discretion of the class teacher.
